What is Ashbrook?  

Ashbrook is an awesome new-build location house and cottage set in 16 acre grounds with pool, pond and pavilion near Banbury, Oxfordshire. Available for tv, film and photographic shoots, you can book by the hour or the day and only pay for the time you need.  


What makes  Ashbrook a great location for film and photography? 

Centrally located just 15 minutes from the M40 at Banbury, The House, Cottage, Pavilion and Grounds were built in 2014 with endless shoot possibilities in mind. The buildings have been thoughtfully positioned to maximise the light and glorious views from all the windows, each beautifully decorated with reclaimed features and brimming with exciting backdrops.   

There is unlimited parking in the courtyard and meadow and with so much space, Ashbrook can accommodate even larger crew numbers who can also stay the night. Josephine Maydon, the owner and host at Asbhrook, has worked in the industry and offers a personal service to make sure your shoot runs smoothly. she can arrange onsite caterers, florists and cars, she is also an experienced stylist and can help with prop arrangements and hire too.  


What unique features does The House @ Ashbrook have?

A beautiful internal round window reclaimed from a Suffolk windmill, reclaimed cast iron Victorian pillars, antique limestone fire surrounds, freestanding Edwardian cast iron bath, bay windows, vaulted ceilings, deep cornicing, limed floors, period archways, wall cladding, window seats, orangerie style windows, wood burning stoves, an open fireplace, funky drinks cupboard, traditional indoor rope swing, white kitchen units and stone tops, a white range cooker with stone cooker hood plus reclaimed doors and fanlights. 


What unique features does The Cottage @ Ashbrook have?

Courtyard setting, New England style wall cladding, a woodburning stone, reclaimed painted floorboards, roll top bath, vaulted ceilings, antique beams, rustic doors, a range cooker, open shelving and a central island with stone top and sink.


What unique features do the Grounds @ Ashbrook have?

A beautiful natural pond with dovetail rowing boat, a 10 x 3m dark swimming pool surrounded by cyprus trees, topiary and lavender, a Pavilion with sauna and rustic sink area, a large stone barn with brick arches , dry stone walls, clipped yew hedges, a wild flower meadow and plenty of fields with grazing sheep.


Is Paint and decoration allowed at Ashbrook

Yes! You can discuss this with Josephine Maydon, the owner of Ashbrook who is more than happy to accommodate this.  


How do you book Ashbrook for a shoot location? 

The House, The Cottage, The Pavillion and grounds can all be booked individually or together for film and photoshoots. There are no agency fee’s and you can book directly with Josephine Maydon, the owner and host of Ashbrook. Book by the hour or the day and only pay for the time you need.


Are onsite caterers available at Ashbrook? 

Yes, the owner and host of Ashbrook, Josephine Maydon, can personally arrange onsite caterers for the duration of your shoot. She can also arrange florists, cars and is an experienced stylist and can help with prop arrangements and hire too.

Does Ashbrook offer overnight accommodation to crew members?

Yes, The House and The Cottage are both available to rent individually or together for shoot crews and also to hire through Airbnb for weekend escapes and holidays.  


How many bedrooms does the House @ Ashbrook have?  

The House @ Ashbrook has five double bedrooms, two with en-suite bathrooms and sleeps 10 with two extra’s on a double sofa bed. 


How many bedrooms does the Cottage @ Ashbrook have? 

The Cottage @ Ashbrook has three double bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom and sleeps 6.
