OUR STORY

Ashbrook is the brainchild and home to creative designer Josephine and her family.

Formally a run down farmworkers cottage with a hotch potch of 1970's extensions, Josephine had the vision to sustainably transform the site into a hub for creative events, a location house for film and photoshoots, an airbnb as well as the base for her busy interior and garden design business.

Eight years on and the place is thriving with bookings of all shapes and sizes from brands such as Next, Cath Kidston and Sophie Allport choosing to shoot here plus a calendar of beautiful workshops, regularly added to, thanks to the wonderful partnership with events organiser Charlie Dobbs.

And all the while, Josephine continues to develop Ashbrook, in her signature up-cycled way and has a growing client base of like minded souls looking to her for help and inspiration on their design projects.

Such a versatile place for our photoshoot.  Ashbrook is like having multiple location houses all in one spot".

"Building Ashbrook from the ground up to reach it's full potential is my lifetime goal. There is always a new project in my head or on the go so the scenery here is always changing. And now that we're working with Charlie on the events side, it's even more exciting, and who knows where the future will take us!  My family and I are so lucky to call Ashbrook our home." "“Having Josephine to consult with while project managing our new extension was like having build therapy."

Rachel, Bath

"You'd never believe the whole place is just eight years old. Josephine has such lovely age-old style and has shared so many ideas to take with me to my building project. Her consultation time was priceless!"
